Welcome to King Street
A tailored environment for adults with learning disabilities. Many of the people we support are autistic and may also experience communication differences, sensory processing differences, emotional wellbeing needs and behaviours that challenge. We provide Specialist residential accommodation and personalised support.
Situated in the centre of Thorne, a small market town on the outskirts of Doncaster, King Street offers housing that provides opportunities for the people we support to live with others or by themselves.
At King Street, our mission is to enhance the lives of the people we support by focusing on their individual needs, strengths and aspirations. We support each person to build confidence, develop independence, improve their quality of life and have greater choice and control in their lives.
Support is delivered through an integrated, consultant-led model focused on quality of life, wellbeing and meaningful progress. We call this The H.E.S.L.E.Y. Integrated Model.
Moving to a new home is a significant step. We take time to understand each person’s needs, strengths, aspirations and preferences so that we can make sure King Street is the right environment for them.
