Hesley Group supports people with learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs. Many people we support are autistic and may also experience differences in communication, sensory processing and emotional wellbeing, sometimes alongside a history of disrupted placements.

Hesley Group provides an integrated model of education, care and consultant-led clinical leadership. Our in-house clinical team works alongside care and education teams to understand each persons needs and provide consistent, formulation-led support. This integrated approach ensures that support is safe, consistent and focused on meaningful outcomes.

The H.E.S.L.E.Y. Integrated Model is Hesley Group’s organisation-wide framework for supporting people with intensive specialist support needs. It brings together education, care and clinical leadership into a single integrated approach focused on quality of life, wellbeing and long-term outcomes.

Hesley Group uses Positive Behaviour Support and clinical formulation to understand behaviours as communication and responses to unmet need. Our clinical team works alongside care and education teams to reduce distress and improve wellbeing.

Hesley Group uses recognised quality-of-life frameworks, including the San Martin Scale, to understand wellbeing, independence and meaningful progress. Outcomes focus on quality of life, not just behaviour.

Support focuses on developing communication, life skills, emotional wellbeing and independence. Through education-led pathways and specialist support, people are supported to make meaningful progress and experience improved quality of life.

Mercury College is part of Hesley Group and delivers specialist further education through the same integrated clinical and support model. This ensures consistent support, shared outcomes frameworks and continuity where appropriate.
