Activities at Meadow View
At Meadow View, we have created a safe environment where people can access education, develop lifelong skills and maximise their potential. The residential living model enables each person to have a varied and fulfilling life.

Activities and choices: People are encouraged and supported to make their own decisions about how they spend their days. Support teams help to ensure that activities are balanced around each person’s needs, preferences and wellbeing. Depending on these needs and the choices made, a broad range of activities can be accessed in the local and wider communities and at other Hesley Group facilities.
Pursuits include: horticulture, art and crafts, eating out, visits to local and national attractions, trips to the coast, cinema, bowling, swimming, gym, dance, shopping, sensory club, cycling, woodwork, music, performing arts, voluntary work, access to local colleges, work placements, local walks, including through the local rambling club, and the local social club.

Above all, we want every person we support to experience the best possible quality of life. They should enjoy ordinary daily activities, but also develop new skills, interests and friendships, becoming full and valued members of their local community.
Stability and community: Many of the people at Meadow View come to us after long periods of disruption, within or outside healthcare settings. Our first priority is to help them to feel safe and secure, providing the stable foundation for their futures. We draw upon our many years of experience in facilitating and supporting life transitions.
We recognise that people’s needs, wishes and abilities vary, so we support people in individualised and flexible ways. Our aim is for everybody to have the best quality of life possible. We place a strong emphasis on people experiencing meaningful and active lives, taking a full part in the activities and opportunities of our local community.
