Enabling people to live meaningful lives

At Hesley Group, we support adults with autism, learning disabilities and intensive specialist support needs to develop confidence, independence and quality of life in ways that are meaningful to them.

Our enabling approach is built around each person’s strengths, needs, preferences and aspirations. We work alongside the people we support, their families, commissioners and professionals to create positive, capable environments where people can feel safe, understood and supported to achieve their goals.

This may include developing daily living skills, building communication, accessing the community, taking part in education, work-related or social opportunities, and increasing choice and control in everyday life.

Everything we do is centred on helping each person make progress at their own pace, while receiving the right level of support from skilled and compassionate teams.

Support is delivered through the H.E.S.L.E.Y. Integrated Model, ensuring:

  • consultant-led clinical leadership
  • integrated multidisciplinary working
  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • environments adapted to individual sensory and communication needs

Our Services

There are two residential care services that provide:

Resilient support – for people when they most need it – in times of crisis, step down from acute/hospital services. Right support at the right time!

Safe, low risk environments – high support staff numbers, large spaces, bespoke resources, dedicated clinical teams.

Opportunities to learn and develop skills – safe, highly supported environments to develop new skills and increase independence.

Supportive, resource rich communities – activity led support to enable and prepare people for the next steps in their lives.
