Pupil PremiumWhat is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011. It is additional funding provided by the Department for Education to close the attainment gap between pupils from low income families and their peers. It is allocated to schools with pupils on roll who are known to have been eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years, are Children Looked After (in the care of the Local Authority) or who have a parent serving in the Armed Services.
Where pupil premium is received Wilsic Hall School is committed to spending it strategically for the benefit of eligible students. Once a payment is received, the student’s needs are assessed and an action plan is generated for how that expenditure can be used to raise attainment within the school year. This planning is then anonymised and made public via the school website.

The school did not receive any pupil premiums during the school year
Pupil Premium Received 2018/19
The school does not currently anticipate receipt of pupil premium payments during the 2018/19 school year. Should this change planning for expenditure against objectives will be created. An anonymised version will be made available via the school website.
Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium
The Department for Education has allocated £500 per pupil for eligible year 7 students who did not achieve at least a level 4 in reading and/or mathematics at Key Stage 2. This is based on Key Stage 2 data and the autumn school census.
Our current year 7 students have not been eligible for this funding and no payments have been received. Where payment is received, plans for its expenditure linked to outcomes will be published on this school website.
