Overall responsibility for the effective running of Hesley Group Schools lies with the executive board. Members of this board include:

Director of Quality and Workforce Development: Angela Stanton- Greenwood

Assistant Director of Children’s Services: Maryann Barton

Education Board
Reporting into the executive board, this board focusses in detail on the work of the schools’ in providing safe and effective education to their students.

Membership of the board includes:

- Chief Operating Officer
- Independent School Improvement Advisor
- Head Teachers from all Hesley Group Schools 
- Assistant Director of Children’s Services
- Head of Policy and Regulation/Policy and Regulation Manager
- Quality and Compliance Manager
- Director of Workforce Development/Learning & Development Manager
- Director of Therapeutic Services
- Health and Safety Manager
- Other professionals at the invitation of the chair person

The Education Board meets once a term for ordinary meetings and can call extraordinary meetings should circumstances require. A chairperson for the board is elected annually. 

Ordinary meetings will cover the following areas through Head Teacher’s reports, feedback from regulators and our independent school improvement partner:

Quality of teaching and learning
Student progress
Outcomes for students
Regulatory compliance and policy changes
Safeguarding children 
Complaints and compliments
Incident reporting
Risk management
Workforce planning
Staff engagement  - retention, supervision and qualifications
Workforce injuries

Weekly Reports to Executive Board
In addition to termly meetings, weekly reports are shared with the board including updates on safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, compliments/ complaints and any significant issues or incidents over the past school week.

School Improvement Partner
Hesley Group assigns Fullerton House School a school improvement partner to visit, quality assure standards and report into both the executive board and education board. The school improvement partner is independent to the Hesley Group and holds significant experience with both school leadership work and regulatory work. The school improvement partner plays a leading role in Head Teacher appraisal and attends the education board.
