Hesley's newest service, Dragonby Road, is due to open in Scunthorpe during Spring 2022. We are looking to recruit a number of staff over the coming months to work within our multi-disciplinary team supporting adults who have a learning disability, autism and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge.

TAKING GREAT CARE TO PROVIDE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT
Transitioning people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to living in their own accommodation takes great care
. Hesley Group’s purpose-built new service at Dragonby Road, Scunthorpe, provides a stepping stone for successful transition.
All accommodation is self-contained, creating the sense of calm
which is essential to help people with complex needs to reach their full potential.
By focusing on the needs of the individual
, we ensure that people moving from hospital to their own space do so in a relaxed, safe, yet stimulating environment.
The service has been specifically designed to support people discharged from hospital, in line with the Transforming Care agenda. People living here will benefit from:
one of six individual apartments
a single person, ground floor accommodation with private gardens, affording easy access to local amenities
a wide range of activities, which will enrich the lives
of those living within Dragonby Road
a home from home
, with their own front door, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/diner and lounge. Occupants are encouraged to personalise their apartments to provide as relaxed an atmosphere as possible
being ideally located in the small town of Scunthorpe, within reach of a wide range of local facilities, and where people are supported to take an active part in local life
By focusing on the needs of the individual, their needs, abilities and aspirations, everyone at Dragonby Road will have the opportunity to maximise their potential

Our staff make a difference
. Hesley Group has a wealth of experience and specialist expertise, developing a model of care which has put people at its centre since we were formed almost half a century ago. A dedicated team
including support workers and sessional workers support activity provision for individuals and groups. A Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist and Speech and Language Therapist together with Occupational Therapist, Behaviour Therapist and Therapy Assistant, ensure that people have ready access to the support and services they require, to meet their individual needs.
