Assistant Psychologist at Low Laithes

My role involves working under the direction of a Clinical Psychologist; completing assessments, functional assessments, and Positive Behaviour Support plans. I contribute towards information gathering and providing Psychological input for a variety of mental health and Psychological needs.

After completing my BSc in Psychology I was keen to push myself into further study and completed my MSc in Forensic Psychology. Whilst studying I wanted to gain practical experience in a variety of mental health contexts. These experiences brought me into contact with individuals with autistic spectrum disorder and I found working as a support worker with these individuals highly rewarding. These experiences motivated me to pursue the role as an Assistant Psychologist, allowing me to contribute to improving the quality of lives for individuals with autism.

On the weekends I play rugby for a local team, this has been a sport that I have played for years and enjoy the team aspect of the sport.
