Trainer at Central Services

Reference No: HO/01/T/18

CLOSED  16/02/2018

Location: Tickhill, Doncaster

Salary: £20,592 p.a.

Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour which may challenge.

Within our busy Workforce Development Team, we now seek to appoint a Trainer to support the existing  team within the department.  As a Trainer, you will have responsibility for developing the competency of its employees by participating in the development, delivery and evaluation of learning and development events, with particular reference to induction, mandatory and continuing professional development events.

You will be delivering training to internal employees but in particular to new inductees joining the group, so the ability to provide an excellent first impression for all new employees who join the Hesley Group will be essential. You will ensure that all training delivered is a positive experience by supporting them through induction and throughout their development with the Hesley Group.
You will have experience of working in an educational, nursing or care environment with individuals with complex needs. You will also hold qualifications relevant to care, nursing and education.

You will need to be able to plan, co-ordinate and deliver training activities, so the ability to positively influence, enable and motivate individuals through training and development is paramount.

This role requires flexibility within hours of work and location so as to meet the training needs of all groups of staff. It is therefore essential that you have the ability to travel between establishments as required by the role.

You will be joining a team that is passionate about safeguarding and promoting the needs of the people we support and a company who values its employees.

If you are patient, an excellent communicator, caring and passionate about supporting people, working with the Hesley Group will prove to be a fulfilling and rewarding career.

If you believe you fulfill the above and are looking for a new challenge or experience, this is an excellent opportunity.  For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Laurence Stanton-Greenwood on 01302 866906.
