Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, with autism and/or a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour which may challenge.  Our current team of Occupational Therapists make a significant contribution to our capacity to provide effective person-centered support for our clients.

We are currently seeking a Senior/Occupational Therapist to work at our established service, Hesley Village, near Tickhill, Doncaster. You will be a key part of the multi-disciplinary team within the service at Hesley Village and you will also be part of our large Therapeutic Services team, comprising Behaviour Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists, all working alongside clinical assistants.

This role will be challenging but rewarding, with the opportunity to have a real impact on improving the lives of people who use our services.

You will have an Occupational Therapy professional qualification, and a current professional registration with HCPC.

You will provide a service to the individuals who live within the group and to ensure that each person’s occupational needs are met within a Positive Behavioural Support framework. You will work to support individuals within the service to develop skills to enable them to become more independent and able to live a lifestyle of their choosing.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of learning disability and/or autism and associated mental health difficulties, but this can be dependent on the grade of the role that you are applying for.  You will actively provide support and professional advice to other members of the team and all other stakeholders.

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated person willing to demonstrate a commitment to an evolving service and delivering effective and evidenced service initiatives. The service is committed to supporting people through access to a broad range of Continuing Professional Development activities, clinical support through individual, group and peer supervision and numerous opportunities for multi-professional learning.
