Full advocacy support for all

The views and opinions of the children, young people and adults at the Hesley Group are very important to us. That’s why we’ve put lots of opportunities in place to make sure they are heard.

Our ‘Individual Rights and Having a Say’ policy underpins this and gives everyone here a guide to how we listen to and support the views of everyone.

We’ve commissioned the National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) to offer all our young people access their range of advocacy services. Details of what they do can be found at www.nyas.net.

We also have a proactive, and very vocal School Council which meets every 4-6 weeks. The Council plays a big part in planning events and offering suggestions for the school.

Children and young people also work together to produce a magazine, which reflects the interests of the young people and showcases their work and achievements.
