“For us the decision to look for a residential place was not an easy one but we can now accept that we made it for the right reasons. We love our child and wanted the best possible care to continue our hard work.
Of course we didn’t want our son to leave home but he wasn’t happy and needed somewhere that would give him the skills to deal with his autism. Our love alone was not going to do this. Fighting for the specialist help he needed and handing over our son’s care to someone else was the hardest things we’ve ever done. But our son settled in very quickly at Fullerton House. The staff worked really hard and we were involved in every stage. We saw an improvement in our son within weeks.
Everyone at Fullerton is amazing. Our son has a second family and more opportunities and experiences than we could ever offer him. This is where their experience comes in. They know what your child can do and give them a chance to do this. We never imagined our son would wash dishes, tidy his room or go shopping. He does all this and more.”
