Laithes is our adult service that is a former dairy farm that has been
renovated and developed into a range of purpose built facilities. It is
set in beautiful surroundings in rolling countryside near Wombwell
village and Barnsley town centre.
are now looking to appoint a Chef Manager at Low Laithes. The post
requires an organised individual with excellent catering skills to
create balanced and nutritious menus and manage the catering department,
staff and all of the resources in a manner that delivers an efficient
and effective service. You will be responsible for the planning and
delivery of daily meals, including hands on catering input, to ensure
customer expectations, food hygiene and quality standards are met within
the agreed budgets.
will hold a relevant qualification in catering at Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent) and
CIEH Level 2 food hygiene supervision (or equivalent), this will also
include in depth knowledge of HACCP and COSHH regulations. In addition
the post holder will need to be experienced in managing a large busy
kitchen and have exceptional organisational skills. You must be a
punctual and reliable individual, together with a passion for making a
difference in the lives of the people we support. Excellent
communication skills are necessary for this position.
