Established in 1975, the Hesley Group provides flexible, specialist residential services and schools. We aim to offer the best possible care, education and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour that may challenge. 

Hesley Village is set in beautiful surroundings near the village of Tickhill. Doncaster town centre is easily accessed by the bus that stops in the Hesley Village car park. The village is purpose-built to enable a wide variety of activities. Excellent facilities are available within the village to complement and enrich the lives of the people we support including a bistro, cinema, shop, bank/post office, therapy suite, hairdressers, bar and village hall.

We are now looking to appoint an Acting Deputy Care Manager at Hesley Village. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and improving service delivery to ensure that the people who live at Hesley Village receive a complete person centred care service.

As an Acting Deputy Care Manager you will work closely with and support the Care Manager in all aspects of care provision for a residential area.  You will deputise in the Care Manager’s absence to ensure consistent leadership and management is provided. You will be proactive in ensuring that quality care and support is provided to the people we support through the direct line management of Team Leaders and through their team of support staff.

You will be an excellent role model and have a clear focus on developing effective relationships with the people we support, their families, staff and other key stakeholders.

You will hold a level 3 in Health and Social Care and a ILM Level 3 management qualification (or achieve in post within 12 months). You will also have significant experience of supervisory management in a care setting and working with adults with learning disabilities.
