About Us
The Hesley Group is a leading independent provider of residential care and education committed to children and adults with complex and severe learning difficulties, including autism. The Group operates nationally serving over 50 local authorities throughout the UK.
All our establishments operate on a 52 week residential basis and are dedicated to providing education, care and therapeutic services of the highest quality to help each student and resident to develop their range of skills and maximise their full potential.
Founded by its Chairman Stephen Lloyd in 1975, The Hesley Group currently employs around 1300 staff in its establishments, which include; Hesley Village – between Rossington and Tickhill, Community Solutions – Thorne, Wilsic Hall School – near Wadworth, Fullerton House School – Denaby and Low Laithes Village near Ardsley, Barnsley.
The Group provides a full national curriculum in its two schools and vocational training throughout its adult services. Access to and integration with the wider community plays a pivotal role in the development of our students and residents. Links with local businesses have enabled our young people to access a variety of experiences, including exhibiting artwork in local galleries and libraries, working on environmental projects and even gaining employment with local retailers.
